Unleashing Creativity: BITAW at IFSU Lamut Campus Ignites the Spirit of Innovation through Theater

In a dynamic fusion of culture, education, and creativity, Ifugao State University's Lamut Campus became the stage for the Basic Integrated Theater Arts Workshop (BITAW) from March 10 to March 12, 2023. Held at the Heritage Convention Hall, this transformative training was an integral component of the Sparkling Innovation through Theater and Outreach Mobilization program initiated by the Department of Culture and the Arts Office. The event was meticulously organized under the visionary leadership of the Director of Culture and the Arts, Dir. Lalie Vic A. Cawilan.

Led by experienced facilitators, BITAW's curriculum was designed to cater to participants with varying levels of experience in theater. From foundational acting techniques to the intricacies of stage design, participants engaged in a comprehensive exploration of the theatrical arts. Practical exercises, collaborative projects, and interactive discussions fostered a dynamic learning environment, encouraging participants to push their creative boundaries.

The workshop concluded with a vibrant showcase, where participants unveiled their collaborative projects and individual performances. Director Cawilan presented certificates of completion, acknowledging the dedication and artistic growth of each participant. The event closed on a high note, resonating with the echoes of newfound creativity and a strengthened sense of community.

BITAW at IFSU Lamut Campus stands as a beacon of artistic empowerment, uniting tradition and innovation in the pursuit of cultural enrichment and community mobilization. The workshop not only equipped participants with theatrical skills but also planted the seeds for a flourishing culture of creativity and collaboration within the Ifugao community.
