IFSU-DHRD empowers workforce through Mental Health Webinar

In support of World Mental Health Day, the Department of Human Resources and Development (DHRD) at Ifugao State University (IFSU) organized a webinar on Mental Health Awareness to foster a culture of healthy mental well-being within the workplace on October 10, 2023, at the IFSU Lamut Campus.

Under the theme "Sustaining Mental Health for IFSU Workers' Strength," the webinar aimed to promote the importance of mental well-being in an environment where high-pressure situations and demanding workloads are common.

In her Welcome Remarks, Ms. Fedelym L. Pugong, DHRD Director, emphasized that the event serves as a reminder of the important role a healthy workforce plays in the success of any organization. She stated, “By sustaining mental health, we empower our workers not only to meet professional challenges head-on, but to flourish personally as well. We take this opportunity to affirm IFSU’s commitment to the well-being of all employees because they are the backbone of our institution, and their strength and resilience are essential to our collective success.”

Ms. Maryln D. Buyuccan, a member of the DHRD staff, served as the Resource Speaker. She discussed topics ranging from Basic Mental Health to identifying Mental Health Risks at Work, and providing practical Ways to Address Mental Health Risks in the workplace. Ms. Buyuccan's engaging presentation provided attendees with valuable insights and strategies to promote mental well-being, both individually and collectively within the workplace.
