The College of Agriculture and Sustainable Development (CASD) of the Ifugao State University (IFSU) - Lamut Campus held its inaugural "Luntiang Parangal" Ceremony on April 22, 2024, at the Heritage Convention Center. "Luntian," translating to "green," signifies the vital role agriculturists play in environmental regeneration.

The Ceremony honored 19 individuals who passed the challenging November 2023 Agriculture Licensure Examination (ALE). The ceremony also recognized 5 students on the President's List and 54 on the Dean's List for their outstanding academic achievement.

Lawyer Leah L. Rosario, representing University President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, spoke about the importance of faith coupled with diligence in achieving success.

Hezron F. Lawodna, a CASD alumnus and current Project Development Officer at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), served as the keynote speaker. He emphasized the transformative power of education.

Lawodna reiterated that education empowers people with knowledge and critical thinking skills, enabling them to make informed decisions and navigate life's challenges. "In today's interconnected world, education is essential for maintaining competitiveness in the global arena. Nations with well-educated populations are better positioned to adapt to technological advancements and compete effectively in the global marketplace,” he further stressed.

Newly licensed agriculturist Robinson B. Darilay, who attained high ratings in the ALE, encouraged future examinees to expand their reading coverage as the ALE exam may cover general yet extensive areas.
