IFSU explores continuing collab with US Peace Corps


IFSU President Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon hosted a meeting with Milosil E. Cruz, Response Program Coordinator of the United State (US) Peace Corps to discuss continuing partnership on January 23, 2019 at Main Campus, Nayon, Lamut, Ifugao.  

The meeting explored the possibilities of hosting Peace Corps Response Volunteers (PCRVs) with the titles of an Agricultural Farm Specialist, Environmental Management Expert, and DRRM Program Officer.  

IFSU previously hosted Joseph Riley, a US Peace Corps Response Volunteer in 2017. Dr. Riley is an Emeritus Professor, Department of Mathematics and Science Education at University of Georgia, United States of America. Aaron Olk, another US Peace Corps Response Volunteer is currently helping the University in crafting its Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) until April this year.  

The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Planning, Finance and Resource Generation Diosdado M. Aquino, Lamut Campus Executive Director Manuel Malingan III, Disaster Risk Reduction Management Coordinator Arri Steven Dulnuan and Aaron Olk, a US Peace Corps stationed at the University. #
