Ifugao farmers share harvest with IFSU

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, farmers of Banaue, Ifugao donated tomatoes to the Ifugao State University (IFSU) community today, 19 April 2024.

The produce was coursed through the Provincial Agriculture Environment and Natural Resources Office - Ifugao, which distributed the tomatoes to various organizations, including the Provincial Local Government Unit, local government units, and IFSU.

This donation directly supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 on Zero Hunger. By fostering University access to fresh produce from local farmers, it strengthens the link between institutions like IFSU and local agricultural producers.

IFSU faculty member Mr. Nemie Rex Guerzon expressed gratitude towards the farmers for generously sharing their produce with various organizations. He commended them for recognizing them as benefactors rather than letting the produce go to waste.
