IFSU passes 1st ISO Surveillance Audit


“There is no challenge we cannot overcome if we collaborate with each other and work together hand in hand, side by side for the glory of the almighty God,” said Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, University President after passing the first Surveillance Audit on International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) online via Zoom.

The surveillance audit checked the processes of the offices under General Administrative Support Services and Department of Registrar and Admission Services on September 7, 2020.

Ms. Mary Glory Caunin, external auditor, recommended a maintenance certification for the University’s ISO and commends the top management leadership and commitment in implementing the QMS and satisfying the IFSU clientele. She also pointed out some areas that need improvement such as the monitoring of learning and development plan to clearly define the implemented & not implemented trainings and update the risk/ opportunity registry to consider risks and issues encountered amidst COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Pres. Dugyon recognized that there is a need to update the SWOT analysis in order to identify updated issues and concerns that need to be addressed by the university to improve the services being offered to the clientele.

Dr. Dugyon also gave some reminders to the IFSU team and to the constituents in her closing remarks,

“E- Endeavor to do our best to comply with the requirements, recommendations, and suggestions specially on the non-conformity minor and areas of improvement.
C- Continue to improve our management systems, our processes and services for the best interest of the university and for the common good and improved client satisfaction rating.
D- Do not panic. Don’t waver on our commitment to public service. Choose faith over fear amidst pandemic and face the challenges of the new normal with great and strong faith that we can overcome every challenge.”
