IFSU clinches partnership with Taiwan’s Chengchi University

The Ifugao State University (IFSU) have formally forged an international cooperation with the National Chengchi University of Taiwan (NCCU).

Both Universities agreed to work on an innovation center with approaches on cultural ecology, regional environmental management and development studies.

The innovation center aims to compare and exchange experience of the indigenous knowledge, local knowledge and sustainable development of Taiwan and Philippine indigenous peoples.

This collaboration was made possible during the visit of IFSU’s officials led by President Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon to NCCU in Taiwan from February 18-19, 2019.

The IFSU delegation is composed of Dr. Manuel Malingan III, Lamut Campus Administrator; Richard D. Baliao, Director, Department of Communication, Public and International Affairs and Acting University Board Secretary; and Eulalie Dulnuan, Director for GIAHS. The travel is part of the harmonization program of CARASUC.

IFSU officials also explored possible areas of cooperation  with other Taiwan’s Universities on research cultural exchange, student and faculty mobility.#
