The Ifugao State University (IFSU) is currently subjecting its course programs from Lamut and Lagawe campuses to accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) via Zoom from December 6 to 10, 2021.

The programs being accredited are the following: Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management for Level III Phase I, Bachelor of Science in Psychology for Level I, Bachelor of Science in Tourism- Level I, and revisit for Bachelor in Agricultural Technology Level IV Phase I of Lamut Campus; and revisit for Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Management Level III Phase I of Lagawe Campus.

“We have embraced continuous improvement for quality standards at Ifugao State University. When we speak of quality, some indicators must be satisfied. These include the learners, outcomes, resources, environment, contents, and processes. It is, therefore, vital that we maintain to be versatile and inspired in pursuing accreditation which is one among the measures of quality,” said Dr. Nancy Ann P. Gonzales, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Moreover, Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, University President, shared that IFSU views the accreditation process as a unique opportunity for a focused introspection about our strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and a chance to gain feedback from the AACCUP team.

“We recognize that accreditation is integral in strengthening our academic services as we strive to attain academic excellence. This vital process also refines the academic services we offer to be at par with the best universities in the Philippines and the ASEAN region,” she added.

Dugyon further recognized the invaluable contributions of the accreditation task forces of the different IFSU campuses, the working committees, the internal accreditors, and the faculty and staff.
