IFSU holds Training of Trainers on GAD

To create a pool of GAD trainers and sustain GAD efforts in the University, Ifugao state University (IFSU) through the Gender and Development Research Resource Center (GADRRC) conducted a 3-day Training of Trainers (TOT) at the Japan Center, IFSU-Lamut Campus on May 18-20, 2022

GDRRC Director Joyce A. Bodah said that the activity aimed to enhance the existing knowledge of participants on GAD-related concepts and equip them with skills in delivering lectures and training aspiring GAD advocates.

“Through this training, IFSU will produce skilled GAD resource team or individuals within the University to efficiently and effectively carry out its GAD plan in instruction, research, extension, and administration services,” added Dr. Bodah.

The workshop covered the following major areas of training: participatory learning approach and related techniques; planning and designing a needs-based training; implementing the training; and monitoring the training delivery and evaluation.

The 31 participants will soon be certified as GAD trainers by the Philippine Commission on Women.
