The Department of Library Services (DLS) of Ifugao State University (IFSU) – Main Campus once again visited Mabato-bato Elementary School (MES) to read fun and value-laden stories to school children last December 16.

Dr. Liza M. Tamargo, DLS Director, said that their activity that started in 2017 aims to inculcate the value and delight of reading and storytelling among young children. She further said that it is important to train them young so they can frequent libraries especially when they grow up.

Aside from storytelling to all the grade levels during the Outreach Program, the IFSU Library also distributed clothes and hygiene kits; and shared foods in said school.

The team is composed of Dr. Jo Ann D. Doculan, Dean of the College of Computing Sciences; and DLS staff members Maricel Bueno Arquero, Yumi Ara Lunag, Anna Cecilia Flores-Pihnuton, and Aquilina Saguilot.

The University and the DLS extend their thanks to PLAI-CARLC, IFSI-CIASI/ SICEL headed through the International Federation of Samahang Ilocano Inc.-Italy Chapter for its financial assistance.
