Ifugao State University (IFSU)'s Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) achieved a remarkable score of 96.5% in the Regional Annual Administrative Tactical Inspection (RAATI) held on May 27, 2023, at the university's oval.

With a strong determination to defend their back-to-back regional championship title in the Cordillera from 2018 to 2019, the cadets showcased their exceptional skills and expertise to the RAATI team and spectators across various inspection areas.

Under the leadership of Colonel Virgilio M. Noora (MNSA) from the Philippine Army (PA), the RAATI team conducted thorough assessments of administrative and tactical aspects in simultaneous sessions. The evaluation involved a wide range of activities such as Battalion and Company Drill, Raid and Ambush scenarios, Knot tying, First Aid practical, Field Stripping (M16 rifle assembly and disassembly), Map Reading, Admin Inspection, Operation Order (OPORD) writing, Comprehensive Exam, and Method of Instruction (MOI). These rigorous evaluations aimed to assess the readiness and mastery of the ROTC cadets.

Out of a total of 1000 points, comprising 300 points for Administrative aspects and 700 points for Tactical aspects, the IFSU ROTC unit secured an outstanding score of 96.5%. Colonel Noora praised the unit for their exceptional performance and acknowledged their commendable achievements, along with offering recommendations for further enhancement.

During the second quarter of 2023, the IFSU-Lamut Campus and Kalinga State University in Tabuk City were the only institutions to apply for inspection, underscoring the dedication and commitment of IFSU ROTC to maintaining high standards.

The IFSU ROTC unit is led by Commandant Colonel Edralin L. Poblete ART (GSC) PA and guided by Corp Commander C/Colonel Dinah Leahona B. Manzano 1CL, who played pivotal roles in the unit's success.
