IFSU plants 1,200 trees in 2018

The Ifugao State University (IFSU) walks the talk. In its effort to contribute in sustaining the environment, the University planted at least 1,200 fruit bearing trees in its surrounding environment.

Tree planting activity became as an IFSU tradition to re-green the whole University when it launched the “Employee Tree Planting Activity” in 2007.

In 2012, the University issued Office Order No.3 or the Student Tree Planting Activity which requires all students to plant and nurture five trees before graduation with the National Service Training Program as the lead office.

Among the fruit bearing trees planted include rambutan, lanzones and pomelo.#
