CHED OKs limited face-to-face class on IFSU’s Nursing, Midwifery programs

The Ifugao State University (IFSU) is granted authority to offer limited face-to-face classes for Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Diploma in Midwifery at Lamut campus and Potia campus, respectively for the first and second semesters of AY 2021-2022.

This, after, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR) spearheaded by Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan Jr., Regional Director, found IFSU compliant with the requirements of the Commission and the Department of Health, under Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-001 during the Site Inspection and Validation Visit on July 26-27, 2021.

Director Anduyan lauded the University for its dedication to providing quality education for the Ifugao youths as evident by its interest to subject the programs for evaluation. He said that a university must be a ‘light in the dark’ among students and the communities it serves through quality service.

Meanwhile, Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, University President, disclosed that the majority of students on medical-related courses in the University are vaccinated. She encouraged faculty members to advocate vaccination among their students for safer learning.

The University will comply with additional suggestions recommended by the team of validators before the class opening.
