Office of the Vice President, Academic Affairs

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs is headed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Nancy Ann P. Gonzales. She is an accredited University Professor but is currently holding a Professor VI position. 

For five years, she was the former Vice President for Academic Affairs, Director for State Universities and Colleges of Cordillera Administrative Region Research Development Consortium for five years, Director for Research for four years, and Dean for the College of Health Sciences for nine years. She also served as a Dean for two years for the College of Education at the Kalinga-Apayao State College.  

Dr. Gonzales is an accomplished researcher. She published 12 papers in international, national, and local journals. She presented papers in international conferences – Hawaii, Ireland, Greece, France, London, China, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, and at national /regional levels. She is an accreditor, lecturer, resource speaker, and evaluator of researches and professorial applicants at the national and local levels. She attended various leadership courses, seminars, workshops training in the country and abroad. She was awarded as an Outstanding Teacher in 2008, Best Dean in 2012, and in 2016, she was a recipient of the Presidential Award, for extraordinary leadership, effort, and commitment and in the issuance of COPC to the various programs of the College of Health Sciences.

Among her notable accomplishments include the crafting/revision of academic and research policies; curricular revisions - indigenizing, globalizing, and innovating the curricula; accreditation of graduate and undergraduate programs. She was also instrumental in the granting of the Certificate of Program Compliance to various programs and led to the creation of new offices in the University namely: Quality Assurance Office, International Relations Office, and the College of Distance and Transnational Education.

She obtained her BS in Nursing; BS Education major in General Science and later earned her MA in Nursing, MA in Education major in Administration and Supervision, and PhD in Education with Educational Management as her specialization.
