The Office of the Vice President for Planning, Finance and Resource Generation is currently headed by Dr. Diosdado M. Aquino.
Dr. Aquino is an accomplished teacher having taught for 20 years and counting. He served as a teacher for almost decade in a private school prior transferring to IFSU in 1999.
For consecutive timelines, he became the coordinator of IFSU ROTC; Coordinator & Adviser of Drum and Bugle Corps; Dean of the Institute of Computer Science during its three-year formative years, and additional five (5) years when it was renamed as the College of Computing Science; Chairperson for four (4) years for the Master of Arts in Teaching Program; Director of Special Services; and Project Manager of the Internet Auxiliary Project of the University. He also served as Campus Executive Director of IFSU Lamut Campus for three (3) years.
Dr. Aquino is a trainer and resource speaker on different topics including gender and development, action research, writing and preparation of instructional materials, assessment of learning, among others.
Researches that he published include but are not limited to the following: Effects of Mathematics Bibliotherapy Model and Ability Groupings on the Achievement of College Freshmen in Problem Solving; Indigenized Teaching and Learning of Geometry in the Ifugao Context; and Tracer Study of the College of Advanced Education Graduates for the School Year 2012-2017.
At present, he is an Associate Professor V. He finished Bachelor of Science in Education, major in Mathematics, at Saint Mary’s University. He further obtained Masteral and Doctorate Degrees in Mathematics both at Nueva Vizcaya State University.
