75 scholars avail TVET Program at IFSU


At least 75 out of school youth, farmers, and entrepreneurs from the different municipalities of Ifugao are now currently enrolled to the Organic Agriculture and Agricultural Crop Production bundled programs offered by the Ifugao State University (IFSU) in partnership with the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) and Commission on Higher Education.  

This program is part of the Universal Access for Quality Tertiary Education Program (UAQTEA) for Free TVET Education or RA Republic Act 10931. Recipients of this program receive free training, assessment, and tool kit. In addition, each beneficiary also received P160.00 allowance per day and P5,000.00 worth of books.  

Under this program, IFSU offers Organic Agriculture for 39 days while Agricultural Crop Production bundled program for 6 months.    

This Program is implemented by the College of Agriculture and Home Science Main Campus as IFSU Training Competency and Assessment Center.  

On the other hand, the series of lectures and trainings were conducted at Pinto Organic Growers Association Site and IFSU Potia.  

In December 2018, Ms. Melita D. Pinic, TESDA Specialist II discussed the policy and guidelines of the UAQTEA during the orientation program held at IFSU College of Agriculture and Home Science Academic Building.
