In a symbolic transfer, Dr. Jose G. Daniels, Campus Executive Director (CED) of Hapao Campus, handed the University mace to Dr. Adrian L. Albano, CED of Tinoc Campus at Barangay Gumhang, Tinoc, Ifugao on September 1, 2020.

The mace will stay at Tinoc Campus until September 16. Afterward, it will be transferred to Lagawe Campus, then to Lamut (Main) Campus. The travel of the mace across its campuses is part of the University’s Centennial Celebration and symbolizes ‘hosting of centennial activities lined-up for said days/months.'

Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, University President, in her speech, challenged Tinoc Campus to continue to collaborate with LGU, strengthen the Research, Instruction and Income Generating Project (IGP), and subject programs to COPCs and accreditations.

Meanwhile, Dr. Leticia Guinsiman, a faculty member of Tinoc Campus, presented the humble beginnings of Tinoc Campus. In the said history uncovering, it was revealed that Tinoc Campus started as Hungduan High School then later converted to Tinoc Barangay High School due to its separation from its mother municipality. Later, a resolution was made by the Parent-Teacher Community Association and Tinoc LGU requesting the opening of the two-year course-Post Secondary Agricultural Technology (PSAT). This started the offering of college courses.

It was also revealed that the campus met its “dark age” when the Board of Trustees recommended for its closure, however, due to the persistent support of Tinoc LGU and community, the College was given a chance to continue its operation until today. Now, its BEE flagship program can acquire a Certificate of Progam Compliance and Level 1 Accreditation.

Moreover, additional buildings were constructed such as the Administrative building, covered court, among others.

In his message through Mr. Efren Tacio, Tinoc Mayor Samson S. Benito, defined the meaning of MACE which stands for M- excellent Mentoring; A-Acclimatize; C- Competent; and E-Essential.

Representatives from the six campuses along with Barangay and Municipal Local Government Units and Tinoc Municipal Police Station witnessed the transfer and participated in an Ifugao community dance.
