IFSU researchers present 55 studies in 2018 Agency In-House Research Review

In line with the mission of the University to continuously discover new knowledge, generate and commercialize technologies, the Department of Research and Development conducted its Annual Agency In-House Review (AIHR) for completed and on-going researches at Palaisdaan Hotel and Restaurant, Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya on September 6,
2018.

A total of 55 researches were presented for evaluation. Fourteen researches on Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources and Health Studies (AFNRHS) were evaluated by Dr. Sonwright Maddul, and Dr. Teresita Mangili of Cordillera Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic Resources Research and Development, and Dr. Helen Maddumba of Water and Watershed Resource and Research Center.

Thirteen researches on Educational Studies (ES) were assessed by Dr. Evelyn Angiwan and Dr. Esper Feliciano of Benguet State University. Ten researches on Social Science, Culture, and Gender and Development (SSCGAD) were reviewed by Dr. Stanley Anongos and Dr. Tecah Sagandoy of Benguet State University, and 18 researches in Industry, Energy and Emerging Technologies (IEET) were presented to Dr. Jao Jao Somyden, Engr. Rodel Inga-an of Benguet State University and Engr. Max Bernard Codamon of the Ifugao Provincial Science and Technology Center.

The best paper for oral presentation in ES is the study titled “Predictors Statistics among College of Advance Education” researched by Dr. Deo Indunan while in SSCGAD is the research on the Indication of Climate Change and Economic Activity on the Output of Philippine Agriculture” conducted by Mrs. Jennifer Dait and the 2nd is “The Ifugao Rice Terraces World Heritage Site: The Need for Culture-Sensitive Conservation Strategy”
conducted by Dr. Regina Mendoza.

Meanwhile, the winners for poster presentation in ES is the research titled “Indigenized Teaching Learning of
Geometry in the Ifugao Context” studied by Mrs. Desiree Nangpuhan and Dr. Diosdado Aguino, while in the AFNRHS, the “Commercialization of Lagundi Cough Candy in Ifugao State University” by Mrs. Lilian G. Tumapang, and the two winners from IEET is “An analysis of the Gender Wage Gaps in the Philippines” conducted by Mrs. Jennifer Dait, and “Ifugao Vegetable Terraces: History, Status and Sustainability” by Dr. Adrian Albano

This year’s AIHR was attended by at least 92 stakeholders.#
