Lamut ranks 2nd most competitive municipality
The municipality of Lamut, Ifugao is awarded as the 1st Place for Most Competitive LGU on Resiliency and 2nd Place Overall Competitive Local Government Unit for the 3rd-6th Class Municipality during the 6th Regional Competitiveness Summit held on August 16, 2018 at the Philippine International Convention Center sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry.
“The recognition is a joint effort of all stakeholders. We cannot achieve the award without the hard work of our municipal mayor, Atty. Mariano B. Buyawagan, Jr. and all the implementing offices and agencies of our humble municipality,” Municipal Administrator Carlito Bata said.
The municipal administrator added that, “The recognition is also a testament that our entire local government unit is working for their constituents. We owe them this honor.”
“The Ifugao State University Main Campus being located in the municipality congratulates the LGU Lamut for this award. It only reflects that the LGU is working hard to provide the quality service to its constituents. IFSU as an institution that aims for excellence learns from this experience,” Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon said.
