AACCUP evaluates IFSU Potia and Tinoc programs

Teams from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) conducted their accreditation survey visits to the Ifugao State University to evaluate several programs of Potia and Tinoc Campuses from August 29-31, 2018.

Among the programs evaluated at Potia Campus include Bachelor of Science in Criminology (2nd survey), Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (3rd survey), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (3rd survey), Master in Public Administration (preliminary survey). For Tinoc Campus, the accreditors evaluated Bachelor of Elementary Education (1st survey).

“We commend IFSU Potia Campus for the joint efforts of the non-teaching and teaching personnel in the preparation and evaluation of their program,” Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dinah Corazon M. Licyayo said.

VPAA Licyayo added that, “The evaluation also made us realize that there are still areas for us to improve on documentation and university facilities. Despite these, we believe that IFSU Potia Campus satisfy the requirements of the accreditors.”

On the other hand, Christine Dinagtuan, Director of Quality Assurance said that, “We were very happy to visit IFSU Tinoc Campus and applaud its director, faculty and staff in their preparation of documents as proofs of their programs.”

Director Dinagtuan further stated that the entire faculty and staff of Tinoc Campus are receptive to their initial tasks during the preparation of the visit. She encouraged everyone to embrace accreditation as part of ensuring and uplifting quality education for their students.

Dr. Adrian Albano, Tinoc Campus Executive Director on his part said, “We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the help extended for the accreditation of our program. We very happy that we have already a program that is accredited.”

Like their counterparts in IFSU Potia, Tinoc Campus also anticipate a positive result from the accreditors for their lone program evaluated.

Dr. Fe S. Soriano from the Pangasinan State University served as the overall AACCUP coordinator during the visit. For IFSU Potia Campus, the AACCUP team was headed by Dr. Evelyn D. Taban of the Nueva Vizcaya State University. Other team members include Dr. Mervic M. Parinas (UNP), Prof. Nora A. Alcayaga (PRMSU), Prof. Geraldine G. Gantioque (CLSU), Prof. Marrietta S. Romera (PRMSU), Prof. Gladys B. Abaleta (CagSU), Prof. Katheleen M. Gonzales (ISU), Dr. Milagros C. Suyu (CagSU), Dr. Nemia M. Galang (PRMSU), Engr. Totaan (UNP) and prof. Alberot G. Calibo (ISU).

On the other hand, the ACCUP team evaluated Tinoc Campus was headed by Dr. Corazon M. Cudia (NVSU) with Dr. Marinel P. Dayawon (ISU), Dr. Raymond A. Sazon (PRMSU) and Prof. Katheleen M. Gonzales (ISU) as team members.#
