BOR elects new IFSU President
Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon emerged as the new IFSU President after the election by the members of the Board of Regents (BoT) held at the Commission Higher Education (CHED) Central Offi, Quezon City, on May 21, 2018.
In her message to the IFSU family, Dr. Dugyon, the first woman and second University President, expressed her grateful thanks and appreciation to the IFSU family and to all who made her success a possibility.
Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon, the outgoing president said that, “History unfolded for IFSU with the election of Dr. Eva Marie C. Dugyon as the 2nd University President.” He further added that, “The Board of Regents has spoken so let us all rally to support the new President.”
Dr. Dugyon was formally took the key of responsibility on June 1, 2018 during the Turnover ceremony as part of the 9th Commencement Exercises of IFSU held at the Luis Hora Gymnaisum, Main Campus. She took her oath of office immediately after her proclamation as the new president.
Dr. Luisa S. Valencia, former Regional Director, CHEDCAR and representative of CHED Commissioner and IFSU BoR Chairperson, Lilian A. De Las Llagas, read the appointment of the new president.
Dr. Ngohayon, turned-over the IFSU mace, banner, compilation of board resolutions, updated inventory of the university properties, his term-end report and the symbolic key of office to Dr. Dugyon as the new president. As the new president, Dr. Dugyon encourages all stakeholders to be part of achieving positive change for the university for her 100 days of office and beyond. #
