LGU- Hungduan recognizes IFSU President

The Office of the Sungguniang Bayan- Hungduan, Ifugao made a Resolution No. 2018- 101 introduced by the Committee on Awards and Recognition in expressing the sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon for his exemplary commitment and dedication to duty as University President of the Ifugao State University (IFSU) from December 13, 2009 to December 15, 2017.

The recognition was given to Dr. Ngohayon during the blessing and inauguration on New Academic Building and other structure on March 1, 2018 at IFSU Hapao Campus.

This recognition was upon motion of Honorable Evelyn Y. Balenga and upon the unanimous vote of the legislative body of Hungduan, Ifugao.

The resolution states “on December 13, 2009, Serafin L. Ngohayon was honoured as the University President of IFSU and was subsequently reappointed to the same position in 2013, accepting the challenge of serving the university and the community people with sincerity and no limitations.”

The resolution further states “During his stint and through his dedication to duty as University President, various socio-economic plans and education-related activities were realized in line with the MLGU-Hungduan’s organizational goals and objectives of promoting the social, educational and general welfare of the constituents, to include the re-opening of the IFSU-Hapao Campus which provides access to easy and affordable tertiary education among the iHungduan, the delineation of the IFSU-Hapao Campus boundaries and the construction of education-related infrastructure projects on the same campus.”

 

 

Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon was elated by the recognition given to him and gave his gratitude to the LGU-Hungduan. He was also surprised by how well-researched the award given to him.

“I’m surprised at how the content was crafted” said Dr. Ngohayon.

Meanwhile, IFSU Hapao Campus has seven (7) permanent faculty and one permanent non-teaching staff while seven non-teaching personnel on contract of service. The Campus Executive Director of IFSU Hapao Campus is Dr. Jose G. Daniels.

As of second semester SY 2017-2018, IFSU Hapao Campus has 54 enrollees. Five (5) of which are enrolled in Master of Arts in Education while Nine (9) enrolled in Master in Public Administration.

For the undergraduate, there are 32 students enrolled in Diploma in Agricultural Teaching while eight (8) in Bachelor of Agricultural Technology. #Florida B. Robles
