IFSU Employees shine in ASCU-SN sportsfest

Congratulations to all the IFSU Employees who joined the Association of State Colleges and Universities-Solid North (ASCU-SN) Summer Olympics at the Quirino State University (QSU), Diffun Quirino Province last June 13-15, 2017.

This is an annual sports festival participated by the faculty members and staff of the State Colleges and Universities (SUC’s) in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Region I, II, and III.

This year’s theme is “Sports and Socio-cultural Exchange for Greater Productivity” with 18 participating SUC’s from the North and was hosted by QSU.

There were 113 IFSU faculty members and staff across IFSU campuses who joined different sports activities namely: both Basketball Men (45 years old & below) and 46 yrs. & above categories; Volleyball Men and Women, Mixed Softball, Futsal, Chess Men, Badminton Men & Women, Table Tennis Men & Women, Cycling, Track Events, Ballroom-Swing, Darts, Fun Shoot and Mr. & Ms. ASCU-SN.

IFSU players succeeded as Champions, First runner-up and Second runner up placers in several sports events.

Dr. Vicky C. Madangeng, ASCU-SN Athletic Manager, IFSU and PE &Sports Director, IFSU disclosed that, this is the first time IFSU reaped several medals.

From previous ASCU-SN sports festival, IFSU was unable to rank even at 3rd place, Dr. Madangeng added.
