Agri-forestry educators pass NCIII assessment

Five members of the Faculty of College of Agriculture and Home Science (CAHS) who have subjected themselves to competency assessment under the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Accredited Competency Assessors have passed and are now qualified for Horticulture National Certificate (NC) III.

The faculty members who were evaluated were:
Dr. Marissa P. Bulong
Engr. Felicio C. Anton
Miss Perla L. Epie
Mr. Nemie Rex S. Guerzon
Mr. Edimer L. Paduyao

They were assessed by Mrs. Jessie S. Vinagrera that was conducted in Nueva Vizcaya Polytechnic Institute in Pudi, Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya on April 29, 2017.

According to Dr. Bulong, the Horticulture NC III consists of competencies that individuals in the agri-forestry must achieve and should be qualified of especially those who are managing small farms
The assessment done to the faculty were:
a. Ploughing of the area for agricultural crop production;
b. Applying fertilizer and planting of beans;
c. Spraying of Citrus plants;
d. Harvesting of Anthurium flowers;
e. Budding and Grafting and
f. Responding to questions during interview by the competency assessor. #
