Dr. Licyayo and Dr. Dugyon survived the first (Recruitment and Selection) of the three-component system and will now avail of the second component (Professional Advancement Program). Third component (Career Management) follows subsequently.

In her memo, CHED Chairperson Dr. Patricia B. Licuanan said the program which is “designed to engage SUC executives and enhance their competencies to prepare them for increased roles in the improvement of the public higher education sector in the country” begins on July 19, 2017.

The candidate’s participation to the Phil-HECS-EDP will be done on official time, thus, entitling the accepted candidates to their salary and benefits for the full duration of the program, Dr. Licuanan said.

Further she said that their participation “should not prejudice existing benefits, status/designation of the candidates provided that the pertinent rules and regulations of CHED, DBM and COA on designations, compensations and benefits such as RATA are adhered to.” #
